Marine Corps Marathon: Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024

ARLINGTON, Va. – On Sunday, Oct. 27, numerous roads in the vicinity of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) will be closed for the annual Marine Corps Marathon. These closures will affect pedestrian, vehicular and Metro access to and from ANC. Please read the following information carefully before visiting ANC.


Closures that will impact ANC Visitors, Employees and Family Pass Holders:

•  Memorial Avenue (the main public entrance to ANC): Open to pedestrians ONLY between 3 a.m. and 6 p.m. Memorial Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic between Lincoln Circle (in Washington, D.C.) and Arlington National Cemetery.

•  Arlington Cemetery Metro station (Blue line): Open at 8:30 a.m.

•   Route 110: Closed between 3 a.m. and 6 p.m.

•  Ord and Weitzel Gate: Closed to vehicular traffic; pedestrian entrance only.

•  Service Complex Gate: Open to family pass holders, DoD visitors with a CAC, scheduled honor flights, pedestrians and ANC employees.

Marine Corps War Memorial Access Road (No vehicular access through Ord and Weitzel Gate)


3 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• 
Memorial Avenue, from Lincoln Circle (in D.C.) to Arlington National Cemetery

•  Washington Boulevard, from Columbia Pike to Memorial Circle

•  Route 110, from I-66 to Route 1 Route 110 ramp, from Washington Boulevard to Route 110

•  Route 110 ramp, from Washington Boulevard to Route 110

•   South Eads Street, from South Rotary Road to 12th Street South


3 a.m. – 11 a.m.

•   Route 27 eastbound and westbound lanes, from I-395 to Route 50

•   Northbound George Washington Memorial Parkway, from I-395 to Spout Run Parkway


6:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

•   Boundary Channel Drive from N/S Connect Road to Route 110
