Wreaths Across America Family Pass Holder Day — Dec. 10, 2023

On Sunday, Dec. 10, the annual Wreaths Across America Family Pass Holder Day will be held at Arlington National Cemetery and the Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., family pass holders are invited to place a wreath at their loved one’s grave ahead of the National Wreaths Across America Day.

No registration is necessary, but both pedestrian and driving family pass holders must have an official ANC family pass to receive a wreath to place. Photocopies of family passes will not be accepted.

The cemetery will be open to the public on this day. However, wreaths will be provided only to family pass holders. One wreath will be provided per family pass and up to three wreaths per vehicle if there are multiple passes in the vehicle. The issuance of wreaths will be in line with the criteria for issuance of a permanent family pass; limited to parents, spouse, siblings, and children of the deceased. There will be no wreaths available for the general public on Family Pass Holder Day.

If a family pass holder chooses to place a wreath at Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery (SAHNC), they may pick up a wreath at ANC and take it to SAHNC.

Those with ANC family passes are welcome to drive into the cemetery on this day, using the Arlington National Cemetery main entrance gate on Memorial Avenue. Those walking to the cemetery are welcome to use the Ord & Weitzel Gate (pedestrian only) as well. Old Post Chapel Gate will be open to those who have a DoD ID.

We encourage family pass holders to use Metro transportation to help alleviate congestion and wait times at entry and exit points. If traveling by Metro, please enter and exit through the cemetery’s main entrance, closest to the Arlington Cemetery Metro stop on the Blue line, or the Ord & Weitzel Gate, closest to the Rosslyn Metro stop on the Blue, Orange or Silver lines. To alleviate traffic congestion, driving family pass holders may exit from the Service Complex Gate. Please do not enter the cemetery from this gate.

We look forward to having you here at Arlington National Cemetery to honor and remember our nation’s finest during the holiday season.
