Arlington National Cemetery remains closed to the public; the cemetery is open to
family pass holders only for visitation. In compliance with current CDC guidance, DoD
guidelines and “the Maryland and Virginia governors and the District of Columbia
mayor’s “Stay at Home Orders”, ANC is asking family pass holders to assist to keep
everyone safe and healthy during this critical time by following the below social
distancing guidance:
- Please consider staying at home until we are through this national emergency
- Access is limited to family pass holders only. Effective immediately, ANC is suspending all issuance of temporary passes.
- Families are asked to adhere to the guidance of less than 10 people when visiting the cemetery
- Family passes may not be used to visit popular ANC sites: ANC is closed for tourism.
- Remember to consider others visiting a loved one in close proximity to your visit by:
- reducing the frequency of visits
- limiting the time you are at ANC
- only visiting your loved ones gravesite
- adhering to the prohibition on recreation at ANC
Arlington National Cemetery is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our
service members, employees, family members and visitors. We will continually assess
the situation as this national emergency evolves and will further adjust during this
changing environment.
