Arlington National Cemetery Announces Two Wreaths Across America Events

ARLINGTON, VA-- Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) is announcing this year’s Wreaths Across America (WAA) events to honor our nation’s heroes this December and January.

In response to very positive family pass holder feedback, ANC will provide Wreaths Across America wreaths to family pass holders of those interred at ANC on Sunday, December 12. Members of the general public can take part in this year’s National Wreath Day on Saturday, December 18 at ANC.

Event schedule:

Sunday, December 12:  Family pass holders only are invited to lay wreaths at their loved ones’ graves from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. WAA wreaths will be provided only to family pass holders. No registration is necessary for family pass holder day. Family pass holders must present their official ANC family pass (photocopies are not accepted) to receive a wreath.

Please note: The cemetery will be open to the general public on Sunday, December 12. However, only family pass holders can receive a wreath on this day.

Saturday, December 18:  WAA National Wreath Day is open to the general public beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration for this year’s event is mandatory. Family pass holders are also welcome on this day, but they must register. Please visit the WAA registration page at: https://learn.wreathsacrossamerica.org/anc2021.

Saturday, January 22, 2022: From 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at both Arlington National Cemetery and the Soldiers and Airmen’s Home National Cemetery, the public is invited to the annual “Wreaths Out” event to assist in removing the wreaths from headstones. The general public is welcome to attend; no registration is required.

Arlington National Cemetery is complying with the Department of Defense directives and supplemental “Force Health Protection Guidance for the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak,” and with current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for this virus. The health protection of our workforce and our visitors is a top priority, and ANC maintains our commitment to honor the nation’s veterans who rest on these iconic grounds.  Masks will be required inside all ANC buildings and are optional outside during the events.
