Tourmobile Update

10/7/2011

The Tourmobile ceased all tour operations Monday, October 31, 2011, after 42 years of service. The Tourmobile was the only authorized tour operator to service sites within Arlington National Cemetery. The National Park Service maintained the Tourmobile contract and is exploring options to continue this service. Should you have additional questions about the status of the contract for an authorized transportation service at Arlington National Cemetery, please contact the National Park Service at: (703) 289-2500. We will provide updates here on our web site as they become available.

Arlington National Cemetery's first priority will continue to be the conduct of quality interment services for our nation's service members. Where possible we will try to accommodate the requests of visitors to the cemetery. There is no change to the family pass access to the cemetery. While the new contract is being coordinated by the National Park Service, Arlington National Cemetery is working to address the needs of visitors with disabilities. Arlington National Cemetery will try to accommodate vehicular access to those riders with disabilities. In order to gain access, the driver must come into the Visitor's Center to get a pass, a map, and instructions on parking and temporary rules put in place. Arlington National Cemetery will grant access in one and a half hour blocks in order to accommodate as many visitors as possible within the limited parking space available.
