Wreaths Across America, Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011
Wreaths Across America, Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 Wreaths Across America is an annual event at Arlington National Cemetery where volunteers place Holiday wreaths at the grave markers of our fallen heroes within the Cemetery. The event occurs each year in December, and the wreaths remain in place until mid-January. This year, the Wreaths Across America event is bigger than in any previous year. Volunteers will lay more than 100,000 wreaths this year, which is more than three-times the number typically placed. To accommodate the parking requirements of the many volunteers for the event this year, Arlington National Cemetery will offer free parking at its parking lot and at the Navy Annex beginning at 7:15 a.m. and ending at 1:00 on the day of the event, Dec. 10, 2011.
