Inclement weather for Jan. 3, 2014

1/2/2014

Arlington National Cemetery is open today, January 3, 2014.  We plan to conduct funeral services as scheduled, though some honors provided by the military service may be limited.  However, we recognize that some families may choose to reschedule services due to the weather. Families who find they cannot travel due to the snow and ice are urged to contact the cemetery at 877-907-8585 as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: The cemetery is open today for visitors but the "ANC Tours" by Martz tram service will not be operating. Due to icy conditions, the main portion of the Memorial Amphitheater is closed to pedestrian traffic at this time; side stairs are open to allow access to the Tomb of the Unknowns. Likewise, the JFK gravesite is also closed at this time due to icy conditions. As these areas improve, they will be re-opened. Please use caution on all cemetery roadways, walkways and stairs.
