ARLINGTON, Va. -- Arlington National Cemetery will host a special guided walking tour of its Horticulture Program on April 25 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Steve Van Hoven, ANC's urban forester and horticulture division chief, will provide on-site discussions that showcase Arlington's turf and grounds maintenance, landscaping techniques, and urban forestry program. Participants will also get to see and learn more about its two state champion trees.
The tour will conclude at the Old Amphitheater, in time for an 11:30 a.m. Arbor Day tree planting. The cemetery will be planting a white oak in commemoration of its 150th Anniversary.
The tour will start at the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center. The tour is free-of-charge, but reservations are required. Please register online at
