National Memorial Day Events at Arlington National Cemetery

WHAT: Department of Defense Recognition and Commemoration of the Fallen Men and Women of the U.S. Armed Forces – 151st National Memorial Day Observance
WHEN: Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m.
WHERE: Community Center, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Virginia

EVENT DETAILS:
7:30 a.m. Media Operations Center opens.
8 a.m. Media shuttle will begin transporting media to the ceremony site.
9:30 a.m. Media Operations Center closes and the final media shuttle departs to ceremony site.
10:30 a.m. United States Coast Guard Band begins the prelude concert inside Memorial Amphitheater.
11 a.m. Presidential Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier followed by an observance program hosted by Department of Defense in Arlington’s Memorial Amphitheater.

REGISTRATION: Media interested in covering the observance must register by 2 p.m., Thursday, May 23. To be placed on the credentialed list, send an email to usarmy.mcnair.mdw.mbx.mediadesk-omb@mail.mil with the following information:

• Full name (first, middle and last)
• Date of birth
• Social security number
• Current residence
• Media organization
• Contact phone number, email address
• Identify which ceremony you would like to cover (wreath-laying or observance program)

Please send an email to usarmy.pentagon.hqda-anc-osa.mbx.anc-pao@mail.mil with the following information: your name, email address, media organization, and contact phone number no later than noon, Wednesday, May 22 to schedule an appointment to pre-set cables.

Media interested in covering other Memorial Day events at the cemetery must register with Arlington National Cemetery by emailing: usarmy.pentagon.hqda-anc-osa.mbx.anc-pao@mail.mil or calling 703-614-0024.

The U.S. Army Military District of Washington Public Affairs Office will contact media outlets with their credential status no later than 5 p.m., Friday, May 24.
