ARLINGTON, Va. – The Executive Director of the Army National Cemeteries Program testified today before the Senate Subcommittee on Contracting Oversight, Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, along with the Department of the Army Inspector General, and the Government Accountability Office Director of Defense Capabilities and Management and Director of Acquisition and Sourcing Management regarding the progress that has been made at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as findings from requirements of Public Law 111-339.

Customer service center reaches a milestone

Wreaths Across America Cleanup Day - Jan. 28

Wreaths Across America volunteers will be removing wreaths Jan. 28 beginning at 8:30 am. Family members with parking passes will be allowed to enter the cemetery to visit the gravesite of their loved one as usual. Parking for WAA volunteers will be available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Visitors Center parking garage at no charge and at the Navy Annex. Volunteers with handicapped passes will be allowed to park at the Administration Building. Shuttle service for the handicapped is available at the cemetery daily from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. More information on the cleanup effort is available on the Wreaths Across America website at http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/arlington-wreath-cleanup-planned.

Disabled/Handicapped Shuttle Service at Arlington Cemetery

Arlington National Cemetery will provide a free shuttle service for those with disabilities. The shuttle will run between the Visitors Center the JFK gravesite, the Memorial Amphitheater, and the Arlington House from 8:15am to 5:15pm.
