May 24 Traffic Advisory: Rolling to Remember

May 20, 2026

Visitors planning to attend Flowers of Remembrance Day on Sunday, May 24 should be advised that the annual "Rolling to Remember" motorcycle ride will take place on the same day.  The motorcycle ride should not have a major effect on Flowers of Remembrance.

However, traffic in the area may be heavier than normal and certain roads will be closed – including Washington Boulevard from Pentagon North Parking to Memorial Circle and the exits off 395 N. into Pentagon Parking and Columbia Pike.


Army National Military Cemeteries Announces Fifth Flowers of Remembrance Day

ARLINGTON, Va.—Army National Military Cemeteries (ANMC) is honored to announce the fifth Flowers of Remembrance Day, to be held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

“We are honored to host the fifth annual Flowers of Remembrance Day, an occasion that holds great significance not only for Arlington National Cemetery, but for the entire nation,” remarked Executive Director of Army National Military Cemeteries and the Office of Army Cemeteries Karen Durham-Aguilera. "This year’s event carries a special historical significance as we join the nation in honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.”


Army National Military Cemeteries Launches Online Eligibility Questionnaire

Army National Military Cemeteries (ANMC) has launched a new online eligibility questionnaire to help service members, veterans and their families better understand potential eligibility for interment or inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC).


April 30: Memorial Amphitheater and Tram Service Updates

On Thursday, April 30, the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) will be closed from 8 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. for preparations for a special event at ANC.


Traffic Route Changes for Access to ANC via the Service Complex Gate

April 16, 2026

On Monday, April 27, all drivers entering Arlington National Cemetery through the Service Complex "123" Gate will encounter traffic route changes due to necessary Southern Expansion construction. As a result, access via the Service Complex Gate will be limited to ANC personnel and authorized contractors. Family pass holders and visitors must use the Memorial Avenue entrance or other available access points.


April 15: Tram Boarding Area Relocated

April 13, 2026

Due to a pavement improvement project, ANC Tours tram boarding and offloading will temporarily move to Memorial Avenue on Tuesday, April 14. Tours will continue regular service. 


ANC Traffic Impacts: April 9-15

April 09, 2026

From April 9 through April 15, 2026, drivers entering Arlington National Cemetery via Memorial Avenue will experience delays due to a National Park Service pavement resurfacing project. The work extends between the Arlington Cemetery Metro Station and Memorial Bridge, west of Memorial Circle.


Notice of Pavement Renovation in Tram Plaza

April 08, 2026

ANC will be renovating the pavement at the ANC Tours Tram Plaza from April 9-13, 2026. Tram tours will continue regular service; however, please use caution near the Tram Plaza due to uneven surfaces and possible dust in the air.

Please follow posted signs and guidance from tram employees.


GW Parkway Construction and Traffic Impacts to Arlington National Cemetery

From the week of March 23 through approximately mid-June 2026, drivers traveling to Arlington National Cemetery via the George Washington Memorial Parkway may experience delays due to pavement resurfacing work.
