United States Presidents and Their Families

Taft 2020

An Armed Forces Full Honors Wreath-Laying Ceremony is held to commemorate the 163rd birthday of President William H. Taft, September 15, 2020.

Only two U.S. presidents, William Howard Taft and John F. Kennedy, are buried at Arlington National Cemetery. (Most presidents have chosen to be buried in their home states.) Several members of the Kennedy family are also buried here, as are George Washington's step-grandson, George Washington Parke Custis, and Abraham Lincoln's son, Robert Todd Lincoln.
