Welcome Center

Begin your visit to Arlington National Cemetery at the Welcome Center, located by the main cemetery entrance (Memorial Drive). The Welcome Center offers: 

  • Maps and brochures
  • Exhibits that tell the story of Arlington National Cemetery and its significance to the nation
  • An information desk, where staff can answer your questions
  • Tickets for the interpretive tour bus 
  • Kiosks for accessing ANC Explorer (which you can also download to your mobile device)
  • A bookstore (bottled water available for purchase)
  • Restrooms and water fountains 

Please note that the cemetery does not provide wheelchairs or strollers, but you may bring your own. Click here for information on accessibility

Visitors are encouraged to bring water. Food and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Welcome Center or on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. Bottled water is available for purchase at the bookstore in the Welcome Center and at the bookstore in the Women in Military Service for America Memorial. Water fountains are located in and around the Welcome Center, near the JFK gravesite and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; the ANC Explorer app also identifies water fountain locations throughout the cemetery. 

The Welcome Center opens daily at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. year round.
